           Life skills for a successful life


PREFACE : 

         Imparting life skill training through  including life skill education helpsthe human beings to overcome many difficulties in life. Life skill education can serve as a remedy for the problems as it helps them to lead a better life. The following life skills are very much useful to be successful in one's life. 

These are skills for successful life :

Goal setting :

         A goal should be fixed by considering the strength and weaknesses. Ha ing a clear vision of what has to be achieved often makes easier to attain the goals. It also depends on how passionate one is in achieving the goals.

         They should be written down in a piece of paper or on a calender with deadlines, which provides a clear picture of the goals and reminds them of their deadlines and our inner desires. When we set goals and achieve them, it helps us build confidence.

Example : 

For example become a mechanical engineer or buy a house is a long term goal of an individual.

Decision Making :

      
       A decision making skill is the ability is to transform our analysed data and information into action. No matter how many goals we have, if we don't act upon them, they are going to remain goals for the rest of our life. 

        Our decision making skill is the ability of knowing what to do next, based on our goals and information that we have. Making the right dicision at the right time comes with experience, knowledge and regular practice. Some decisions need thinking through, while other decisions have to be taken in a split second. It all depends on the situation. 

Example : 


Breaking down complex problems into smaller parts, assessing information and identifying patterns.

Effective communication :


       The ability to communicate efficiently with people will give the extra edge we need to become successful. It creates a connection with people and provides the network we need and also helps to manage people we come across in our life. 

       Communication, whether it's through emails, text, phone, or face to face, can be a powerful tool. It helps to stay informed, manage people, and promote motivation. 

Example :


Active listening and clear and concise verbal communication can solve the large problem. 

Time Management : 


       Balancing the life isn't always easy; we can get overwhelmed with tasks, responsibility and demands for future. If we don't manage our time properly, we will always find ourselves trying to catch up with instead of moving forward. 

      We have our work , our relationship and our personal time, all have to be in balance and harmony. We have to learn to keep a detailed diary for scheduling our tasks for effective time management. 

Example :


Developing a structured plan for day or week, allocating specific time slots for tasks and appointments. 

Positive Attitude : 


      One of the simplest things that most people miss out on is a positive attitude. Success depends on a whole lot on how much we believe in ourselves. Sometimes, the thing that separates us from our goals is our mind. 

     Believing is magic; it can make things easier for us, it can take away pain and give endless energy. We must believe that we will absolutely succeed in doing whatever we want to do; there shouldn't be any doubt in our mind. Only then we will be able to do whatever takes to become successful.

Lifting spirits and offering support especially during challenging time. 

Critical Thinking : 


      Critical thinking is the intellectually disciplined process of actively and skillfully conceptualizing, applying, analyzing, synthesizing, and evaluating information gathered from, or generated by, observation, experience, reflection, reasoning, or communication, as a guide to belief and action. 

      In its exemplary form, it is based on universal intellectual values that transcend subject matter division: clarity, accuracy, precision, consistency, relevance, sound evidence, good reasons, depth, breath, and fairness. 

Example : 


Paying close attention to details in a situation or document to identify potential problems or opportunities. 

Art of public speaking : 


      The ability to speak clearly, persuasively, and forcefully in front of the audience. It is one of the most important skills anyone can develop. People who are effective speakers come across as more comfortable with themselves, more confident, and more attractive to be around. 

       Being able to speak effectively means we can sell anything -products, of course, abut also ideas, ideology, worldviews. It provides us more opportunities for career advancement and also all-round development in our life and career. 

Example : 


For example, Giving a speech on human psychology in front of so much audience.

Conclusion : 


       Life skills can be acquired through teaching and learning process. They can be employed to handle problems arise in day to day life of the human beings. The primary aim of skill is to create and materialize an effective sequence of choices, so as achieve the desirable effect. 

      Life skills help the human beings to accomplish everything in life and to reslize their full potentialities. In everyday life the development of life skills helps students to find new way of thinking and problem solving. It also helps people to racognize the impact of their actions and teaches them to take responsibility for what they do rather than blame others.
